Every padel player has been there. You just won a thriller: three sets, two tiebreaks, a match you'll talk about for weeks. But by the time you get home, the exact scores are already fuzzy. Was it 7-5 or 7-6 in that second set? Did the tiebreak finish 7-4 or 7-5? The moment fades. The details slip away. And without a record, that incredible match might as well have never happened.
Now imagine the opposite. You walk off the court, pull out your phone, and in thirty seconds the entire match is logged: score, opponent, venue, everything. One of your opponents confirms, your rating updates, and your friends see the result in their feed. Likes and comments start rolling in. That match lives on in your stats, your history and your climb up the leaderboard, not only in your memory.
That's what PADLR. does. It's a padel match app built for players who care about their game and want a real, verified record of every match they play. By the end of this guide, you'll know every way to record a padel score, book a padel match, and never lose a result again.
Two Ways to Record a Match
Open the Matches tab (the centre tab at the bottom of your screen) and tap New Match at the bottom of the screen (or use the Log a Match / Book a Match shortcuts on your Feed). You'll see two options:
- Log a Match: For matches you've already played. Enter the score, tag your opponents, and post it.
- Book a Match: For matches coming up. Pick a venue, set a time, and invite players.
On most platforms, logging a match means filling out a long form with dropdowns, text fields, and guesswork. PADLR. does it in 30 seconds with smart defaults that remember how you play. Logging takes three short steps and booking takes two. Let's walk through each one.
Logging a Match
Use this when you've just finished playing and want to record your padel score while it's still fresh.
Step 1: Players
This is where you enter who played.
Pick your format
Start by selecting Singles or Doubles, then choose Competitive or Friendly. PADLR. remembers your last selection, so if you always play competitive doubles, it'll be pre-filled next time. No re-entering the same settings every session. The app learns how you play.
Add your players
Tap the "+" icons to add players:
- In Doubles, you'll add your partner and two opponents
- In Singles, just add your opponent
Search by name to find registered PADLR. users. If they're not on PADLR. yet, tap "Add a guest" and type their name. Guests appear by name on the result and are allowed in friendly matches only.
Once all the players are added, tap "Next" to move on.
Step 2: Score
This is the fun part. You'll see each set in turn.
- For each set, the app asks "Who won set 1?" Tap the winner, then answer "By how much?" Pick a score or choose Other for one that isn't listed. Invalid scores can't be entered
- Pick 7-6 and you can add the tie-break points if you remember them
- When enough sets are won, the match completes and the app shows the winner
- Tap a finished set to change it
Change the format under Match rules: Best of 1, 3, or 5 sets, 4 or 6 games per set, an optional super tie-break instead of a deciding set, and the deuce rule (Advantage, Golden point or Star Point). If the match didn't finish, tap Match didn't finish and mark it Retired or Walkover. Unsure? Tap the info icon for the Scoring Guide. Star Point is selected the first time, in line with the 2026 FIP rules. After that, PADLR. remembers the rule you last used.
Once the score is complete, tap "Next" to move on.
Step 3: Match details
Everything on this step is optional. You can skip straight to posting if you want.
- Date & Time: Defaults to right now, but you can backdate if needed
- Court Type: Indoor or Outdoor
- Duration: 60, 90, or 120 minutes
- Gender: Male, Female or Mixed
- Position: Left or Right side of the court (Doubles only). If you've set a preferred position in your profile, it's pre-filled
- Venue: Tap "Select Venue" to pick from clubs near you. It's pre-filled with your last venue or home club, so you rarely need to search
- Caption: Add a note like "Incredible third-set comeback" or "First win of the season." Up to 200 characters
When you're ready, tap "Post Match".
What Happens Next
You'll see a success screen confirming your match has been logged. Here's what happens behind the scenes, and it's why you can trust PADLR. as a padel results app:
- Your opponents get notified: They'll receive a push notification asking them to confirm the result
- A 48-hour confirmation window starts: One of your opponents confirms the result, or it confirms itself after 48 hours. Your partner can't confirm for your own team. On a friendly, any other player can confirm
- Once confirmed, ratings are calculated: PADLR.'s Bayesian rating engine processes both teams' ratings based on the result, score margin, and relative skill levels (competitive matches only). It's more than a win/loss counter, and "Why your level moved" shows you exactly what happened.
- Once confirmed, the match appears on the feed: Your followers (and the other players' followers) see it in their feed. Likes and comments start rolling in.
Unlike self-reported platforms where anyone can claim a win, PADLR. requires an opponent to confirm the result. That confirmation system, backed by built-in manipulation detection, is what keeps ratings honest and trustworthy. More on this below.
Booking a Match
Want to schedule a game in advance? This is PADLR.'s padel booking app flow, and it's tightly connected to score entry so you never have to re-enter match details after you play.
Step 1: Set It Up
Pick your format
Same as logging: Singles or Doubles, Competitive or Friendly.
Choose a venue
Tap "Select Venue" to browse clubs near you. This is required for bookings since other players need to know where to show up.
Set the date and time
Pick when you're playing. The time defaults to the next whole hour from now.
Add players (optional)
You can add specific players now, or leave slots open for others to join later. The slot counter in the corner (like "1/4" for doubles) shows how many spots are filled.
Open slots make your booking visible in the Discover tab, where nearby players can browse and join.
Challenging someone? If you tapped "Challenge" on another player's profile, they're automatically added as your opponent. You'll see a "Challenging [Name]" label at the top.
Rematching? If you tapped "Rematch" from a previous match, all the players from that match are pre-filled. You can still add or remove anyone.
Tap "Next" when you're set.
Step 2: Match Details
All optional. Fine-tune to your liking or skip ahead.
- Court Type, Duration, Gender: Same options as logging a match
- Match Format: Best of 1, 3, or 5 sets; 4 or 6 games per set
- Position: Your court side (Doubles only)
- Price: If there's a court fee, enter the amount in the local currency of any launch country, from euros and pounds to dirhams and reais
- Skill Range: Toggle this on to set a rating range (like 4.5-6.5). Players inside the range join instantly; anyone outside it sends a join request you can approve
- Visibility: Choose Public (anyone can find and join) or Private (invite link only)
Tap "Create Match" and you're done.
What Happens Next
Your booking is live. Here's what you and others can do with it:
- It appears in your Upcoming tab with the venue, date, players, and status
- If Public, it shows in Discover so nearby players can browse and join
- Share a link to invite specific people, even friends who don't have PADLR. yet
- Add it to your Apple Calendar with one tap (includes the venue and time)
- You're notified when someone joins, asks to join or withdraws
- Teams balance themselves: when a doubles game fills, PADLR. splits the teams by rating
- Chat with your players: every booked match gets its own group chat
As the host, you can edit or cancel the booking at any time. Cancelling notifies all joined players.
Joined players can withdraw if plans change, and their slot re-opens for others.
After the Booked Match: Logging the Score
Other apps treat booking and results as separate things. You book on one screen, then start from scratch when you want to record the score. PADLR. connects them: book a padel match, play it, and your score entry is pre-filled from the booking.
Once your booked match's scheduled time passes, it moves into an "Awaiting Result" state. You'll see:
- A push notification reminding you to log the score
- An action card at the top of your Feed saying "Log your result"
- A "Log Result" button in the booking detail view
Tap any of these and you'll land in the same score entry flow as logging a match, except everything is pre-filled for you. The players, venue, format, and match settings are already loaded from the booking. All you need to do is enter the score and post it.
It's padel score entry at its simplest: tap the winner of each set, done.
Match Confirmation: Keeping It Fair
Every logged match goes through a confirmation process to make sure the players agree on the result. This is a core part of how to track padel matches accurately, and it's what separates PADLR. from platforms where results are unverified.
For the Other Players
When someone logs a competitive match with you as an opponent, you'll get a notification. On a friendly, every other player does. Open it and you'll see the match details with two options:
- Confirm: You agree with the score. The match is confirmed, ratings update, and it's posted to the feed.
- Dispute Scores: Something's off. Enter the score as you remember it. The poster can accept your correction (the match confirms on that score) or keep theirs. A dispute left unresolved for seven days expires and the match is never rated.
You can also confirm or dispute directly from your Notifications, with no need to navigate to the match first. And if someone didn't turn up at all, use "Report a no-show" instead: a no-show counts only when players from both teams confirm it. Then the match is voided and its rating changes are undone.
The 48-Hour Window
You have 48 hours to respond. If you don't take any action within that window, the match auto-confirms and ratings are applied automatically. This prevents matches from sitting in limbo forever and keeps the system moving.
For the Poster
After you log a match, you'll see it marked "Pending" while you wait for an opponent to confirm. Once one confirms, the status updates to "Confirmed" and your rating change is locked in. If they dispute, you'll be notified and can accept their correction or keep your score.
You can delete a pending match if you made an error, but only before it's been confirmed.
Why This Matters
The confirmation system matters. Combined with PADLR.'s manipulation detection, it ensures that every confirmed match is legitimate. The Bayesian rating engine that processes your results is only as good as the data it receives, and the confirmation step keeps that data clean. When you see a player's rating on PADLR., you can trust it reflects real, verified matches.
Smart Defaults: PADLR. Remembers
You'll notice that PADLR. remembers your preferences across matches. If you always play competitive doubles at your local club on the right side of the court, you won't have to re-enter that every time. The app saves your last selections for:
- Format (Singles/Doubles)
- Match type (Competitive/Friendly)
- Court type (Indoor/Outdoor)
- Duration
- Match format (Best of 3, 6 games per set, super tie-break, deuce rule)
- Gender
- Venue
- Court position
This is what makes it possible to log a padel match in under 30 seconds. The fewer taps between "I just played" and "it's recorded," the better. PADLR. is designed to stay out of your way and let you get back to playing.
Your Matches Tab at a Glance
The Matches tab is your home base for everything related to padel match recording and scheduling. It's split into two views:
- Upcoming: All your booked matches, sorted by date. Tap any card to see the full booking detail, manage players, or log the score once it's played.
- History: Your completed matches. Scores, results, opponents, venues and dates, all in one scrollable list. Free accounts show your five latest results; Pro unlocks your full history and filters.
At the top, a quick stat row shows:
- This Week: Matches still to play this week
- Upcoming: Total upcoming matches
- Matches: Total completed matches
Everything you need to check your schedule or review past results, one tap away.
Quick Reference: The Match Lifecycle
Here's the path a match takes from start to finish:
Logged Match:
You play -> Log the score -> Your opponents get notified -> One of your opponents confirms (or it auto-confirms after 48h) -> Ratings update -> Match appears on feed
Booked Match:
You create a booking -> Players join -> Match time arrives -> You get a reminder -> Log the score -> An opponent confirms -> Ratings update -> Match appears on feed
Either way, the end result is the same: an accurate record of your match, fair rating updates for everyone involved, and a post your followers can like and comment on. Post the score, and once it's confirmed, watch your rating update. Every competitive match counts, every score is captured, every result is verified.
Tips for Getting the Most Out of Match Logging
- Log matches right after you play: The score is freshest in your mind and the other players can confirm quickly. The faster you record a padel score, the more accurate it'll be.
- Use the venue picker: Tagging your club helps build your match history by location and contributes to the Discover tab. Over time, you'll have a complete map of where you play.
- Add a caption: It makes your feed posts more engaging and gives your followers context. A good caption turns a score line into a story.
- Don't stress about pending confirmation: If nobody responds, the match auto-confirms after 48 hours. The system is designed so nothing falls through the cracks.
- Try the rematch button: After a great game, tap "Rematch" on the match detail screen to instantly book another one with the same players. It's the fastest way to book a padel match with someone you just played.
- Keep your profile updated: Setting your preferred court side and home club means fewer taps every time you log or book.
Key Takeaways
- Two paths, one goal: Log a match you've already played or book one for later. Both take under a minute and feed into the same rating system.
- Score entry is fast: Tap-to-score entry, smart defaults, and pre-filled booking data means you can record a padel score in about 30 seconds.
- Every result is verified: The confirmation system and manipulation detection ensure that ratings reflect real, agreed-upon results. No unverified claims.
- Booking and results are connected: Book a padel match, play it, and your score entry is pre-filled. No duplicate data entry, no starting from scratch.
- Your match history is kept: Every confirmed match is stored in your History tab: scores, opponents, venues, dates. Free accounts see the latest ten; Pro unlocks the full padel score tracker.
- The community sees your matches: Confirmed results appear in the feed where friends can like and comment. Padel is a social sport, and PADLR. treats it that way.
That's everything. Log it, book it, confirm it, and let PADLR. handle the rest. Every competitive match you record makes your rating more accurate, your history more complete, and your profile more visible to the padel community around you.
