Every Feature in PADLR.: The Complete Guide to the Best Padel App in 2026

Imagine this: you've just finished a tight three-set doubles match at your local club. You pull out your phone, tap through the score, and the result is posted. Your opponents get a notification, and one of them confirms with one tap. Your rating updates, and you glance at the leaderboard. You've jumped two spots in your local area. A badge pops: Unstoppable, ten wins in a row. Particles fill the screen, and you both see exactly how much your ratings moved and why.

What if one app could track your rating, find you opponents at your level, log your scores in 30 seconds, and show you exactly where you rank in your area? That's PADLR., and it does all of that before you even scratch the surface.

This guide covers every feature in PADLR., from your first login to advanced analytics, match booking to badge collecting, leaderboards to privacy controls. Bookmark it. Use it to size up the app before downloading, or to find the features you haven't tried yet after a few weeks of playing.

Getting Started: Onboarding

Sign in with Apple, Google or email. By continuing, you agree to our Terms and EULA, and confirm you have read our Privacy Policy. Then we walk you through a quick setup with no guesswork and no friction:

  1. About you: Your name, @handle, gender (optional) and date of birth. Your date of birth confirms you're 16 or over.
  2. Let's find your level: Answer four quick questions on your serve and rallies, wall play, overheads and the kind of matches you play, and PADLR. gives you a cautious estimated starting level (Total beginner, Beginner, Intermediate, Club player, Advanced or Elite). Already know your level? Tap "I know my level" and set it on the slider. It's powered by a Bayesian rating engine (more on that below), which means your starting point matters but won't lock you in. Real results take over quickly.
  3. Location & club: Select your country, city, and home club so we can connect you with nearby players and courts. PADLR. launches across 28 countries, so there's a good chance your club is already listed.
  4. Find friends: PADLR. can check which of your contacts are already playing. It matches email addresses and phone numbers, hashed on your phone before they're sent. With the find-me switch on, PADLR keeps the hashes so it can tell you when a contact joins; switch it off and they're deleted. Follow them instantly or invite others via link.
  5. You're all set: Choose whether you'd like product emails, allow notifications, and you're in.

Your dominant hand and preferred court side can be added any time later in Edit Profile. Your progress saves automatically. If you close the app mid-setup, you'll pick up right where you left off.

The Five Tabs

PADLR. is built around five main tabs at the bottom of your screen: Feed, Discover, Matches, Rankings and Profile. Each one is designed to do one job well. Here's the full breakdown.

1. Feed: Your Padel Social Network

Unlike other padel apps that just show results in a dry list, PADLR.'s feed is a living social network built around the sport you love. It's the first thing you see when you open the app, and it makes padel feel like a community, not a spreadsheet.

Match Cards

Every confirmed match appears as a card showing:

Tap any match card to see the full detail: scores, rating changes, venue info, and more. There's a small thrill in seeing your name on the feed after a big win, and an even bigger one when your followers start reacting.

Likes & Comments

This is what makes PADLR. a padel social app as well as a tracking app. The banter, the congratulations after a comeback and the trash talk before a rematch all live here.

Live Now & Action Cards

What Else Shows Up

Ads

Free users see a sponsored card every few posts. Upgrade to PADLR. Pro to remove it entirely.

2. Discover: Find Players & Open Games

No more WhatsApp groups. No more "anyone free Thursday?" messages that disappear into a 200-person chat. PADLR.'s Discover tab matches you by rating, not self-reported guesses, and a player's level is marked provisional (≈) until they've played five rated matches. Their profile shows how settled it is.

Search & Filter

This is the padel community app experience done right. Every player card shows a rating driven by confirmed results, so you can find competitive matches without the awkward "so... what level are you?" conversation.

Open Games

Browse upcoming matches near you that still have open spots. Each card shows the venue, date, time, format, and how many players are already in. Tap "Join Game" and confirm to hop in. If the host has set a skill range you're outside of, your request goes to them to approve. It's pickup padel, streamlined.

Players Near You

See PADLR. players near you. Each card shows their level and city (plus a PRO badge for subscribers), with Challenge and Follow buttons right there, or tap the card for their full profile.

Match Alerts

Tap the bell on Discover to get notified when an open game appears in your city at your level. Free accounts get one alert; Pro gives you up to 20.

3. Matches: Log & Book Matches

The centre tab is your match hub and the heart of padel match tracking in PADLR. Tap New Match at the bottom of the screen to either Log a Match (post a completed result) or Book a Match (schedule one for later).

Logging a Match

Logging takes three short steps: Players, Score and Match details. It takes about 30 seconds. That's not marketing. Time it yourself.

Step 1. Players:

Step 2. Score:

Step 3. Match details (optional):

Your opponents get a notification to confirm or dispute the result. Once confirmed (or after 48 hours) it goes live on the feed. The whole process is designed so that logging a match never feels like a chore. If it does, people stop doing it, and the data dies.

Booking a Match

Planning ahead? Book a match in two steps:

Step 1. Set it up:

Step 2. Fine-tune (optional):

After Booking:

Once the match is played, you'll get a reminder notification to log the result. Tap it to go straight to score entry with everything pre-filled. No re-entering opponents, no remembering the venue. It just works.

Match History & Upcoming

The Matches tab has two sub-tabs:

A quick stat row at the top shows your matches this week, total upcoming, and total played.

4. Rankings: See Where You Stand

This is where competition comes alive. The Rankings tab is your padel leaderboard app experience | PADLR. shows you three views across five boards, and a podium that makes top-three status feel earned.

Three Views:

Five Boards:

You appear on the boards after your first five competitive matches, and the boards update hourly.

The Podium

The top three players get a visual podium display for 1st, 2nd and 3rd. There's something satisfying about seeing your avatar on that podium, especially on the Friends board where bragging rights are real. Below the podium, a scrollable list shows every ranked player with their position, avatar, rating, and location.

Your Rank

A sticky footer at the bottom always shows your current position so you can see exactly where you stand without scrolling. It's a small detail, but it means you never have to hunt for yourself.

Gender Filter

Filter any board by gender (All, Male or Female), free for everyone.

5. Profile: Your Padel Identity

Your profile is your padel résumé, the place where every match, every rating shift, and every badge tells your story. It's split into three tabs.

Activity

Your five most recent matches with quick results (win/loss, score, opponent, venue). Tap "View All Matches" to see your history.

Stats

This is where PADLR. becomes your padel tracking app on another level. Think of it as Strava for padel, with a proper rating system built in.

Stats has four tabs: Overview, Game, People and Habits. Game and Habits are part of Pro.

Pro adds a longer rating chart and a forecast of when you'll reach your next level. It adds your win rate by side, format, court and match type. It shows how you do in deciding sets and tie-breaks, and as favourite or underdog. It shows when and where you win, and your court costs. You also get the rating you gain with each partner, a comparison with any player, and your full match history. If you're serious about improving, this is where the padel rating app features pay for themselves.

Badges

Your badge collection. PADLR. awards 50 badges automatically based on your activity: things like your first competitive win, ten wins in a row, or reaching a milestone rating. Badges come in four tiers:

Tap any badge to see its description, unlock criteria, and what percentage of players have earned it. When you unlock a new badge, you'll get a full-screen celebration with a particle burst. Gold and Platinum unlocks get an even bigger one. It's a small dopamine hit that keeps you coming back, and it's designed that way on purpose.

Profile Customisation

Tap "Edit Profile" to update:

Changes save automatically as you type.

Public Profiles & Social

Tap any player's name or avatar anywhere in the app to view their public profile. You'll see their rating, stats, badges, and recent matches.

Follow System

Challenge

Hit the "Challenge" button on any public profile to jump straight into booking a match with that player pre-selected. From discovery to challenge in two taps.

Messages

Tap "Message" on a profile to chat with players who follow you back or anyone you've played or booked a match with. You can also start group chats, and every booked match gets its own.

Block & Report

Report any post, comment, message or player, and block anyone. A word filter checks names and comments, and every new profile photo is checked before others see it. Manage your blocked users anytime in Settings.

Match Confirmation & Fair Play

Other platforms let anyone self-report results without verification. PADLR. requires confirmation from an opponent, because a rating system is only as good as the data it's built on.

When you post a match:

  1. Your opponents get a push notification to confirm or dispute the result
  2. One of them confirms the score or disputes it. Your partner can't confirm for your own team. On a friendly, your partner can confirm too
  3. Once confirmed, ratings update (competitive matches only) and the match goes live on the feed. A flagged match is held for review. It isn't rated or shown to followers unless it's released
  4. If they dispute, they enter the score as they remember it, and you accept the correction or keep yours. Unresolved disputes expire after 7 days without affecting ratings
  5. If nobody responds, it auto-confirms after 48 hours

If someone didn't turn up, players can report a no-show instead. A no-show counts only when players from both teams confirm it, and then the match is voided and its rating changes are undone. This keeps the rating system honest and means no one can inflate their record. It's a simple mechanism, but it's the reason PADLR. ratings actually mean something.

The Rating System

Your PADLR. level, the number the app shows for your rating, runs from 0.0 to 7.0 and represents your current skill level. While other platforms use opaque algorithms that leave you guessing why your number changed, PADLR. shows you exactly why your rating moved, and by how much, in a "Why your level moved" breakdown after every rated match.

Under the hood, ratings are powered by a Bayesian team estimation engine (OpenSkill, also known as Weng-Lin), the same class of algorithm used in competitive gaming. Your rating updates after every confirmed competitive match based on four factors:

  1. The result: Did you win or lose, and was it expected?
  2. The score margin: A 6-0, 6-0 demolition carries more weight than a 7-6, 6-7, 7-5 nail-biter
  3. Who you played: Beating a higher-rated player moves your rating more than beating someone below you
  4. How established your opponents are: Until a player has five rated matches, a result against them counts for less for settled players. This stops new accounts from being farmed for rating.

Your rating starts with more volatility (bigger swings) and stabilises over time as the system gets more confident in your level. The ring around your level on your profile shows how settled your rating is, and it fills as the system learns your true level.

Reliability: every profile shows how often a player turns up, such as "Turned up to 9 of 10 matches · last 90 days". If you played fewer than 10 matches in that time, it covers your last 10, going back up to 12 months. A no-show counts only when players from both teams confirm it. Friendly matches never count.

Upsets matter too: a win against the odds counts for more than a win you were expected to get. Streaks don't change your rating, but they do feed your stats and badges. And if you take a break of more than 60 days, your rating uncertainty increases slightly so the system can recalibrate when you return. No penalty, just recalibration.
