Every Feature in PADLR.: The Complete Guide to the Best Padel App in 2026
Imagine this: you've just finished a tight three-set doubles match at your local club. You pull out your phone, tap three times, and your score is logged, your opponent is notified, and your rating updates in real time. You glance at the leaderboard — you've jumped two spots in your city. A badge notification pops: 10-Match Win Streak. Confetti fills the screen. Your partner gets a push notification that you've posted the result, confirms with one tap, and you both see exactly how much your ratings moved and why.
What if one app could track your rating, find you opponents at your level, log your scores in 30 seconds, and show you exactly where you rank in your city? That's PADLR. — and it does all of that before you even scratch the surface.
This guide covers every feature in PADLR. — from your first login to advanced analytics, match booking to badge collecting, leaderboards to privacy controls. Bookmark it. Whether you're evaluating padel app features before downloading or you've been playing for weeks and want to unlock everything, this is your reference.
Getting Started: Onboarding
When you first open PADLR., we walk you through a quick setup — no guesswork, no friction:
- Pick your skill level — Choose from Total Beginner to Elite, or dial in your exact rating with a slider. This seeds your starting rating so the system doesn't treat you like a blank slate. It's powered by a Bayesian rating engine (more on that below), which means your initial choice matters but won't lock you in — the algorithm corrects fast.
- Set your location — Select your country, city, and home club so we can connect you with nearby players and courts. PADLR. is live across 23 countries, so there's a good chance your club is already listed.
- Play style — Tell us your dominant hand, preferred court position (left or right), and gender. All optional, all useful for matching you with the right opponents.
- Find friends — PADLR. matches your contacts (privately, using hashed data — we never store raw phone numbers) to show which of your friends are already on the app. Follow them instantly or invite others via link.
- Accept the legal bits — Terms, privacy policy, and age confirmation (16+). Then you're in.
Your progress saves automatically — if you close the app mid-setup, you'll pick up right where you left off.
The Five Tabs
PADLR. is built around five main tabs at the bottom of your screen. Each one is designed to do one job well. Here's the full breakdown.
1. Feed — Your Padel Social Network
Unlike other padel apps that just show results in a dry list, PADLR.'s feed is a living social network built around the sport you love. It's the first thing you see when you open the app, and it makes padel feel like a community, not a spreadsheet.
Match Cards Every match posted to PADLR. appears as a card showing: - Who played (with avatars and team layout) - The final score, set by set - Where it was played - An optional caption from the poster
Tap any match card to see the full detail — scores, rating changes, venue info, and more. There's a small thrill in seeing your name on the feed after a big win, and an even bigger one when your followers start reacting.
Reactions & Comments - Long-press or tap the reaction bar to drop an emoji on any match - Leave comments, reply to others, and build threads under any match - Reactions update instantly — no waiting for a page refresh
This is what makes PADLR. a padel social app, not just a padel tracking app. The banter, the congratulations after a comeback, the trash talk before a rematch — it all lives here.
Live Now & Action Cards - If you have a booked match in progress, it appears at the top of your feed under "Live Now" - After a booked match wraps up, an "Awaiting Result" action card prompts you to log the score — right from the feed
What Else Shows Up - Achievement celebrations when you or someone you follow earns a badge - Game invitations from other players - Notification bell in the top-right with your unread count
Ads Free users will see a small ad banner every few posts. Upgrade to PADLR. Pro to remove them entirely.
2. Discover — Find Players & Open Games
No more WhatsApp groups. No more "anyone free Thursday?" messages that disappear into a 200-person chat. PADLR.'s Discover tab matches you by verified skill level, not self-reported guesses — so when you find an opponent rated 4.2, you know they've earned that number through confirmed matches.
Search & Filter - Search players by name or venue - Filter by skill level (1-7) using quick-tap chips - Open the advanced filter panel to narrow by rating range and distance
This is the padel community app experience done right. Every player card shows a real, algorithm-verified rating, so you can find competitive matches without the awkward "so... what level are you?" conversation.
Open Games Browse upcoming matches near you that still have open spots. Each card shows the venue, date, time, format, and how many players are already in. Tap "Join Game" to hop in. It's pickup padel, streamlined.
Players Near You See other PADLR. users in your city. Each player card shows their rating, skill level, location, and follow status. Tap "Invite" to challenge them to a match, or tap the card to view their full profile.
3. Match — Log & Book Matches
The center tab is your match hub — the heart of padel match tracking in PADLR. Tap the "+" button to either Log a Match (post a completed result) or Book a Match (schedule one for later).
Logging a Match
A two-step flow that takes about 30 seconds. That's not marketing — time it yourself.
Step 1 — The basics: - Choose Singles or Doubles - Select your opponents (and partner, for doubles) from player search - Enter the score using the numpad — tap each cell, type the number, and it auto-advances to the next. Supports tiebreaks and best-of-3 sets
Step 2 — The details (optional): - Pick the venue - Add a caption ("Incredible comeback in the third set") - Set court position, match format, and other metadata - Hit "Post" and it's live on the feed
Your opponent gets a notification to confirm or dispute the result. If they don't respond within 24 hours, it auto-confirms. The whole process is designed so that logging a match never feels like a chore — because if it does, people stop doing it, and the data dies.
Booking a Match
Planning ahead? Book a match in two steps:
Step 1 — Set it up: - Singles or Doubles - Pick your venue from clubs in your city - Choose a date and time - Select or invite players
Step 2 — Fine-tune (optional): - Court type, duration, gender filter, price, match format - Hit "Done" to create the booking
After Booking: - Other players get notified and can join - Add the match to your Apple Calendar with one tap - Share a link to invite anyone — even people who haven't downloaded PADLR. yet - The host can edit or cancel the booking at any time - Participants can withdraw if plans change
Once the match is played, you'll get a reminder notification to log the result — tap it to go straight to score entry with everything pre-filled. No re-entering opponents, no remembering the venue. It just works.
Match History & Upcoming
The Matches tab has two sub-tabs: - Upcoming — Your booked matches, with venue, time, and who's playing - History — Every match you've completed, with scores, results, and dates
A quick stat row at the top shows your matches this week, total upcoming, and total played.
4. Rankings — See Where You Stand
This is where competition comes alive. The Rankings tab is your padel leaderboard app experience — but with depth that other platforms can't touch. Playtomic shows rankings. PADLR. shows you three views, four scopes, and a podium that makes top-three status feel earned.
Three Views: - Most Active — Sorted by who's played the most matches. Consistency gets rewarded. - Rating — Sorted by display rating, highest first. The purest measure of skill. - Movers — Sorted by recent rating change. Who's climbing? Who's falling? This is where you spot the player on a hot streak before they show up in your bracket.
Four Scopes: - Worldwide — Global rankings across all 23 launch countries - Country — Your country only - City — Your city only - Friends — Just the players you follow
The Podium The top three players get a visual podium display with medals — 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. There's something deeply satisfying about seeing your avatar on that podium, especially in the Friends scope where bragging rights are real. Below the podium, a scrollable list shows every ranked player with their position, avatar, rating, and location.
Your Rank A sticky footer at the bottom always shows your current position so you can see exactly where you stand without scrolling. It's a small detail, but it means you never have to hunt for yourself.
Gender Filtering (Pro) Pro subscribers can filter rankings by gender for more targeted competition.
5. Profile — Your Padel Identity
Your profile is your padel resume — the place where every match, every rating shift, and every badge tells your story. It's split into three tabs.
Activity
Your five most recent matches with quick results (win/loss, score, opponent, venue). Tap "View all matches" to see your complete history.
Stats
This is where PADLR. becomes your padel tracking app on another level. Think of it as Strava for padel — but with rating intelligence baked in.
- Rating display with a confidence ring showing how dialled-in the system is on your skill level
- Rating graph — toggle between time-based and match-based views. Tap any point for a tooltip with details. Watching that line climb after a string of wins is one of the most addictive things in the app.
- Form indicator — a row of dots showing your recent win/loss streak
- Stat grid — Matches Played, Win Rate, Current Streak, Best Streak
- Win/Loss chart — Filter by 3 months, 6 months, 1 year, or all time
- Partner analytics — See your most common partner, your nemesis (toughest opponent), and your favourite court
Pro users unlock advanced analytics: position-specific performance, day-of-week trends, head-to-head deep dives, and rating trajectory analysis. If you're serious about improving, this is where the padel rating app features pay for themselves.
Achievements
Your badge collection. PADLR. awards badges automatically based on your activity — things like your first match, a 10-game win streak, or reaching a milestone rating. Badges come in five rarity tiers:
- Common — Easy to earn, everyone starts here
- Uncommon — Requires consistent play
- Rare — Serious dedication
- Legendary — Elite achievement
- Epic — The rarest of the rare
Tap any badge to see its description, unlock criteria, and what percentage of players have earned it. When you unlock a new badge, you'll get a celebration overlay with particle effects and confetti — and if it's Rare or higher, the moment genuinely feels special. It's a small dopamine hit that keeps you coming back, and it's designed that way on purpose.
Profile Customization
Tap "Edit Profile" to update: - Profile photo (with crop tool) - Display name and @handle - Bio - Gender, dominant hand, court position - Home club
Changes save automatically as you type.
Public Profiles & Social
Tap any player's name or avatar anywhere in the app to view their public profile. You'll see their rating, stats, badges, and recent matches.
Follow System - Follow players to see their matches in your feed and track them on the Friends leaderboard - Players with private profiles require a follow request — they choose who gets access - Your follower and following counts are visible on your profile
Challenge Hit the "Challenge" button on any public profile to jump straight into booking a match with that player pre-selected. From discovery to challenge in two taps.
Block & Report If someone's being unsportsmanlike, you can block them from your feed and profile, or report inappropriate content. Manage your blocked list anytime in Settings.
Match Confirmation & Fair Play
Other platforms let anyone self-report results without verification. PADLR. requires opponent confirmation — because a rating system is only as good as the data it's built on.
When you post a match:
- Your opponent gets a push notification to confirm or dispute the result
- They have 24 hours to respond
- If they confirm, both players' ratings update immediately
- If they dispute, the match is flagged for review
- If they don't respond, it auto-confirms after 24 hours
This keeps the rating system honest and means no one can inflate their record. It's a simple mechanism, but it's the reason PADLR. ratings actually mean something.
The Rating System
Your PADLR. rating is a number from 0.0 to 7.0 that represents your current skill level. While other platforms use opaque algorithms that leave you guessing why your number changed, PADLR. shows you exactly why your rating moved — and by how much — after every single match.
Under the hood, ratings are powered by a Bayesian team estimation engine (OpenSkill), the same class of algorithm used in competitive gaming and professional sports analytics. It's backed by 300+ automated tests to ensure fairness and accuracy. Your rating updates after every confirmed match based on three factors:
- The result — Did you win or lose?
- The score margin — A 6-0, 6-0 demolition carries more weight than a 7-6, 6-7, 7-5 nail-biter
- Who you played — Beating a higher-rated player moves your rating more than beating someone below you
Your rating starts with more volatility (bigger swings) and stabilises over time as the system gets more confident in your level. The confidence ring on your profile shows how locked-in your rating is — and watching that ring tighten as the system learns your true level is genuinely satisfying.
Streaks matter too — consecutive wins or losses amplify your rating changes. And if you take a break from playing, your rating uncertainty increases slightly so the system can recalibrate when you return. No penalty, just recalibration.
